Anyone who buys a Dell Mini or Dell Laptop PC can now customize it with one of hundreds of textures or designs. Our task was to help Dell dramatize this by building an image featuring a design by Threadless, the online community t-shirt design studio.

We started with some dim images of diner's interior and added intense lighting to the windows. Then we put the models into the shot, dropped in the lap top, and replaced the woman's necklace.

We changed the color and the pattern of the woman's blouse from greens and yellows to more neutral blues and purples and took out some of the blouse's pattern while maintaining the texture of the material. Later, we also removed her belt and most of the rest of the pattern from her blouse, maintaining the wrinkles in and natural look of the material. We also neutralized the background and seating color and enhanced the blue on the laptop cover and the man's matching t-shirt.
